Ladies with Lattitiude tours are designed for women aged 21 and above who are looking to explore new destinations, make new friends, and enjoy traveling in a safe and female friendly environment. Our ladies must be able to participate in moderate activity levels. Each participant should be able to engage in general tour activities i.e. walking for 30 minutes at one time, occasionally on uneven or cobbled surfaces, climb stairs, get on/off motor coach or into vans and handle personal luggage. Your health and safety are our utmost concern. Our tour Escorts/ Directors have the right to release any tour participant who we deem to be a health risk to themself or others or are physically or mentally not able to keep up with the demands of the tour. We also reserve the right to release any tour participant who engages in illegal, immoral, unruly, belligerent, intoxicated, uncooperative or any behavior deemed socially unacceptable, at any time. This morning we board our non-stop flight from Chicago and land in Savanna, Ga.!
We visit one of the iconic Savannah mansions on our way to the hotel with some time to shop or rest prior to our Welcome dinner tonight. (D)
After breakfast, we take a private tour of the 22 squares to see the beautiful homes, churches, museums and inns of Savannah. After a group photo in the Oak Alley area, we also see Bonaventure Cemetery ( made famous from the novel Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil), as well as Fort Pulaski and Tybee Island. Your evening is free tonight to enjoy one of the wonderful local restaurants suggested by our Tour director. (B)
Today we’re off to the islands! After an early breakfast we drive to Jekyll Island where we will have a quick tour of the island which was once the retreat of the Rockefellers, Pulitzers and Vanderbilt’s, among other wealthy aristocrats. We will have some free time to explore before our lunch at the famed Jekyll Island Club. After lunch we head to St. Simons Island where we have time to explore on our own. Your evening is free to experience some Savannah night life! (B, L)
After breakfast, we depart lovely Savannah, for our next historic city – Charleston. On our way we will make a stop in lovely Beaufort to take a carriage ride tour with some free time for lunch and shopping before arriving at our hotel with some time to freshen up before our group dinner. (B, D)
This morning we join a scheduled group tour of historic Charleston. We then make our way to the famous Boone Hall Plantation where we can step back in time to explore this historic location. As a special treat, we will partake in a Gullah lunch. We return to the hotel this afternoon with the evening free to try some Low Country cooking on your own. (B, L)
Our touring starts today with Drayton hall, an 18th century estate. Afterwards, we move next door to the Magnolia plantation with it’s beautiful grounds and many places to explore. Tonight, we head to the cruise port for a relaxing Farewell dinner cruise. ( B, D)
After breakfast this morning, we sadly say good-bye to our new friends and to the history, beauty and the Charms of the South as we head back home!
