Located in Fiordland National Park on New Zealand’s South Island, Milford Sound is a fjord that is a playground for the outdoor enthusiast. Waitomo Caves. This is the attraction for the outdoor adventurist. Waitomo Caves aren’t just any caves, but some of the most famous in the world because of its glowworm caves. The famous Waitomo glowworms are unique to New Zealand and well known because they radiate luminescent light. Take a guided boat tour of the glowworm caves to get a first-hand look for yourself. There are other notable caves nearby that are a part of the Waitomo cave system, including Ruakuri and Aranui caves.

Franz Josef Glacier. It’s not just every trip that you have the opportunity to discover a glacier. Franz Josef Glacier has long been one of the most famous natural attractions in the world since it’s a glacier that can be explored. The glacier is just over seven miles long and visitors are allowed for guided and unguided tours, although we recommend a guided tour. If you’d rather see Franz Josef Glacier from the air, there are also numerous helicopter operators for aerial tours.
